National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities
This website contains information on disabilities in infants, toddlers, children, and youth. It offers a link and information on IDEA as well. The website also gives information relating to No Child Left Behind and how it relates to disabilities. A valuable part of this site is that is contains research=based information on effective educational practices.
IDEA
Resources related to IDEA and its implementing regulations can be found and are available on this website. There is information available from anywhere to IEPs to funding to Secondary Transitions. The website also offers training materials, model forms, video clips, Q&A documents and more.
The IDEA partnership is dedicated to improving outcomes for students and youth with disabilities by joining state agencies and stakeholders through shared work and learning. The website contains dialogue guides, communities of practice, collaboration on issues, an online library of results for kids, web journals & periodicals, interactive tools to hear the voices of others, and a database that contains information on a variety of topics that are related to the implementation of IDEA, NCLB, as well as other legislation. The website also contains information on collaborating with partner organizations as well as with national center issues.

Most organizations should be able to help others get in touch with what is available in their community, even if that specific organization is not located near by.

Attention Deficit Disorder Association
This web page contains information on AD/HD through various articles, ways to find support (finding a support group, becoming a member of the association, learning about the events going on, etc), as well as ways to find out how to get involved and help. The website also offers information about the association, ways to find funding help, a weekly blog, breaking news, position statements, an eNewsletter, and more.
Autism Society of America
This websites offers ASA news, Autism in the Headlines news, E-Newsletters, and tips of the day. It provides information about Autism such as what autism spectrum disorders are, diagnosis, what causes Autism, FAQs, helpful resources, and Autism 101, which is a free online course. Another section is called "Life with Autism" which contains information about Autism through the lifespan, what's unique about Asperger's Disorder, Education, Treatment Options, and Family Issues. Research and Programs contain pages about information and referral, advocacy, national Autism awareness month, treatment guided research initiative, environmental health and autism, safe and sound campaign, conferences, and the ASA Foundation. There is information available on finding ways to get involved in the Autism Community and information about ASA.
American Foundation for the Blind
The website has accommodations available for one to change the font size and colors of the font. Various links are given in order to learn about Braille, Living with Vision Loss, Education, Employment, and technology. There is also information for various groups such as friends & family, senior citizens, kids, professionals, and employers. There is an entire section of information and related links about what the America Foundation for the Blind does that includes information such as events, research, publishing, consulting, and more. The website contains an ePublications section in which one can create their own library with the resources available. The AFB website also provides a blog, e-News, newsletters, message boards, a calendar of events, job listings, and announcements. The website also has a helpful guide to finding a plethora of services to people who are blind or visually impaired.
Brain Injury Association of Ohio
This website has information about the Brian Injury Association of Ohio, brain injury, and prevention. Resources such as local and national links, news and events in different areas of Ohio, and ways in which others can help and get involved are made available as well. There is also a section on public policy that gives information on various laws, bills, and programs.
Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio
The homepage of this website has sections for a featured article related to Down Syndrome, dates of events that are coming up, a link to join the organization, and recent news related to Down Syndrome. The website has pulled together information for parents from various websites and resources as well as a a page of frequently asked questions related to Down Syndrome. The page offers an entire section of resources such as support groups, adoption services, books, links, and scholarships. There is also a link that leads the the program Changing Lives, created in 2007 by the National Down Syndrome Society, it helps educate health care professionals on how to present a diagnosis of Down syndrome to expectant and new parents in the most compassionate and supportive way possible.

The Epilepsy Association is a non-profit organization serving individuals in Northeast Ohio. The website offers information about the organization as well as the disorder of Epilepsy, the itself. Various services are found here, including support groups. There are sections about the winter walk for epilepsy as well as making donations. The website offers a newsletter in which anyone may sign up for and receive emails of it. Various links that related to epilepsy are included as well.
The Arc of Ohio
This website allows you to become a member and therefore, can sign in whenever you visit to your own page. Facts about the organization are available as well as the email addresses of each people who has a title in the organization. Calendar events and ways to sponsor the Arc of Ohio can also be easily found. There are six categories of getting started, school years, adult life & employment, disability info & issues, medicaid & funding, and lastly family issues under the information and resources section. There is also a link that leads to information about public policy available on the website.
National Alliance of Mental Illness (Ohio)
This website offers ways to get involved with this organization through joining it and finding your nearest affiliate. Various information about programs are explained as contact information is given in order to find out how to get more involved with them are offered. Helpful hints for becoming effective advocates, establishing a relationship with your legislator, and working with the media are included. Various publications and resources related to mental illnesses are offered to download and save as well as a long list of links given.
Ohio Speech Language Hearing Association
This website offers information regarding license and certification, continuing education, and even job postings. There is a link about becoming a member of the organization and explains various benefits when doing so. Students are given a chance to becoming a part of the organization, as information regarding this is available on the site. Explanations of who audiologists and speech-language pathologists are also given.
Tourette Syndrome Association of Ohio

The Autism Society of Ohio is an affiliate of the Autism Society of America. It is a group of parents and professionals working on behalf of persons with ASD in the state of Ohio. US Autism & Asperger Association, Inc.
The USAAA is a nonprofit organization. It distributes information on biomedical treatments/adjunct therapies and research to parents, practitioners, students, and teachers who are associated with the autism and Asperger Syndrome communities.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
The CDC is one of the 13 major operating components of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the principal agency in the U.S. government for protecting the health and safety of all Americans and for providing essential human services, especially for people who are least able to help themselves. The CDC has established an Autism Information Center that reports on CDC-funded state and federal projects as well as resources for families and researchers.

The National Dissemination Center (NICHCY) serves as a central source of information via e-mail, publications, and links to research materials, projects, and Web-sites on IDEA, the nation's special education law, No Child Left Behind as it relates to children with disabilities, and research-based information on effective educational practices.

OSERS is committed to improving results and outcomes for people with disabilities of all ages. Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP)
OSEP is dedicated to improving results for infants, toddlers, children, and youth with disabilities, ages birth through 21, by providing leadership and financial support to assist states and local districts. The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) authorizes formula grants to states, and discretionary grants to institutions of higher education and other non-profit organizations to support research, demonstrations, technical assistance and dissemination, technology and personnel development and parent-training and information centers.
Ohio Department of Education
The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) provides leadership, assistance, and oversight to school districts and other educational entities in the provision of differentiated instructional support to improve results for students with disabilities and students identified as gifted.
